On February 16, 2018, the Chairman of the National Bureau of Enforcement of the Ministry of Justice of Georgia Ioseb Baghaturia and Deputy Chairman Mr. Mirian Kharabadze met with students and professors at the Faculty of Law and International Relations of Georgian Technical University. The event was opened by dean of Faculty of Law and International Relations of Georgian Technical University, Professor Irakli Gabisonia, who underlined the need to listen to the recommendations of the Practitioners in Accreditation and Authorization and to reflect their advice and opinions in the study programs and Syllabus. The meeting was chaired by the GTU’s Speaker of the Representative Council Professor Jemal Gakhokidze, who asked the Chairman of the National Bureau of Enforcement to make a small report to the students. The chairman of the National Bureau of Enforcement said, that it is very important for his department to establish a solid relationship with students and educational institutions, and therefore welcomes the faculty organized the project “Meet the employer”.
The Chairman emphasized the draft law on the Enforcement Code and implemented or future reforms. Ekaterine Akhalkatsi, lawyer for the National Bureau of Enforcement made a presentation, which introduced students the general provisions regarding the enforcement system, aspects related to debtors’ registry and private enforcement, and also, focused on the electronic auction and simplified production. The chairman of the National Bureau of Enforcement declared a proposal on the faculty to study “Enforcement Law”, which give students an opportunity to acquire the issues related to the enforcement process. Also, the chairman focused on the employment and internship in the enforcement bureau, urged students to use the opportunity to apply for the bureau’s application, for that they will employ in the future. The meeting envisaged a question-answer regime that students used as much as possible and asked questions about enforcement mechanisms, production, debt obligations, electronic auctions and other issues. The meeting was summarized by Professor Jemal Gakhokidze, speaker of Georgian Technical University, who thanked the Chairman of the Bureau for her arrival and evaluated the execution system in Georgia with a few words.
